巴尔扎克小说创作中的历史性环境描写虽然有作家“再现历史”的表达预期,但是小说中的历史描写并不精确,至多只是与历史的某种程度的相似,既不能呈现历史的真实面貌,也有损作品的文学性,甚至挫败了读者对故事情节和人物形象的预期,影响了读者对小说阅读接受。虽然巴尔扎克有自己明确的创作意图,但是也没有阻止读者对作品中历史性环境描写进行批评。

Although Balzac has an expression expectation of“reappearance of history”,his description of the historical environment in his fictions is not accurate.At best,it can only be regarded as a certain degree of similarity with history.These overdescriptions,especially the environmental ones,are not pleasing to the readers of literature and the readers of history.His literary works,because of these descriptions,have a lot of ingredients to add to the picture,seriously frustrating readers’expectations of wonderful plots and moving characters.In the face of accusations,Balzac took defense.These defenses,however,were not valid and didn’t produce any effect on the reader.
