This paper takes the form of comparing with other similar exhibitions and analysising the differences. By this method, it presents the core elements of the exhibition "Legend of Apes and Monkeys" in Shanghai Science & Technology Museum as detailed and objective as possible. These elements include the purpose of the exhibition, the interpretation of the theme, the objective of communication, formation process of content outline, design ideas of display form, time period of site layout, matching state of educational activities and creative products, survey results of audience research. This paper provides a complete example of the temporary exhibition about ideas elaboration in the early stage, exhibition implementation in the medium term and effect evaluation in the late period, in order to give useful reference to colleagues in museum curatorial circles.
