基于MATLAB的MIMO通信系统教学平台的设计与实现

摘要 多输入输出(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output,MIMO)系统利用发射端的多个天线独立发送信号,在接收端利用多个天线接收并检测信息。针对MIMO通信系统中空时编码和检测技术理论性强且抽象的特点,设计了一个基于Matlab的MIMO系统教学演示平台。在该平台上可以演示采用不同信道编码、不同调制方式以及不同的检测算法下MIMO系统的信道容量以及误码率性能,通过性能演示学生可以直观地了解编码、调制以及检测模块对系统性能的影响。学生还可以通过该演示平台选择不同的发送天线和接收天线数目,实时演示收发天线数目对MIMO系统性能的影响。教学实践表明,通过该平台的实时演示可以加强学生对通信原理课程的理解,调动学生编程实现MIMO系统模块的积极性,为进一步学习现代通信的关键技术奠定了基础。 Multiple-Input Multiple-Output system uses multiple transmit antennas sending signal independently and multiple antennas at the receiver to receive and detect the original information. A novel demonstration platform for teaching MIMO based on Matlab is designed, for the difficult theories and abstract concepts of space-time coding and detecting technique of MIMO. On this platform, the channel capacity and BER performance of the MIMO under the different channel code, modulation mode and different detection algorithm can be demonstrated. Students can understand how code, modulation and detection modules affect system’s performance through the demonstration platform. They can also real-time demonstrate the effect of the number of send and receive antennas to the system’s performance through choosing different number of transmitting and receiving antenna. The teaching practice proves that the demonstration platform enhances the students’ understanding of communication theory and mobilizes their enthusiasm to develop new MIMO models, which sets a foundation for further studying the communication theories.
