《撷芳要录》版本暨编者赵锡书生平家世考

An Examination of the Life and Family History of Zhao Xishu, the Editor of Xie Fang Yao Lu

《撷芳要录》成书于清代嘉庆间,现藏于上海中医药大学图书馆。《中国医籍大辞典·本草类》定此书为抄本,未标出编者赵酉樵的名讳。通过查阅档案、方志等史料,考定此书为编者赵锡书的稿本,并梳理了山东冠县人赵锡书的生平家世,揭出了此书背后的故事。

Xie Fang Yao Lu (《撷芳要录》Notes for Important Medicinal Herbs) was written during the Jiaqing Reign of the Qing Dynasty, and now it’s collected in the library of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This book is regarded as a codex by Herbal Medicine · The Great Dictionary of Chinese Medical Records(《中国医籍 大辞典·本草类》), but the name of the editor--Zhao Youqiao, is not marked. Making use of archives, local records and other historical materials, this book is regarded as the manuscript of Zhao Xishu, and the life and family history of Zhao Xishu, a native of Guanxian county, Shandong province has been sorted out to reveal the story behind this book.
