摘要
引言20世纪60年代,随着美国建筑师罗伯特·文丘里在其著作《建筑的复杂性与矛盾性》针对密斯的"少即是多"提出了"少即是烦"的口号,后现代主义建筑运动开始兴起。后现代主义反对现代主义尤其是国际主义的"千篇一律"风格,后现代主义强调装饰性、艺术性、人文性。
This paper first elaborates Graves’decorative thought and characteristics of decorative style,then analyses the reasons for the formation of Graves’decorative style and decorative thought,and finally analyses Graves’contribution to architectural design and the limitations of his decorative style.
