The development of globalization promotes cross-cultural communication. In recent years,Japan's NHK has photographed a large number of documentaries about the underprivileged in China.Through focusing on livelihoods, family ties,left-behind children, education and other themes, these films portray the underclass of China. When these images are returned to China, influential public opinions are formed in both social networks and traditional media. As the image mirrors, they make people aware of some social problems highlighted in the rapid development of China, and at the same time prompt the mainstream media in China to reflect on how to assume the responsibility of the underclass narrative and make it up in the mainstream narrative.
