喀麦隆的语言困境及对策研究

A study of Cameroon’s language dilemma and its counter-strategies

喀麦隆历史上,殖民政府忽视本土语言,竭力维护殖民语言的优势地位。这种取舍选择影响独立后喀麦隆官方语言政策的导向和理念。面对“去殖民主义”浪潮的不断冲击,喀麦隆政府对待本土语言和文化的态度与立场有些差强人意,陷入语言失衡引发的语言困境而不自知。在保留官方双语制的同时,复兴本土语言是摆脱语言困境的关键所在,发扬新时代非洲精神、精细化语言政策流程、加强本土语言功能规划等环节同等重要。

In Cameroon’s history, colonial governments chose to ignore indigenous languages while safeguarding the prestige of western languages. This option has still influenced the orientation and conception of Cameroonian government in making official language policies. Faced with the trend of “ decolonization ”, Cameroonian government’s attitude and stand towards indigenous languages and cultures are less than satisfactory, leading itself to a language dilemma. In order to get out of this difficult situation, revitalizing the indigenous languages is the key, and promoting the spirit of Africa, refining the process of making and implementing language policies and reinforcing the function planning about indigenous languages are of equal importance.
