A Tentative Analysis of the Relationship Between Confucius’ “Benevolence” and His Educational Thoughts

孔子是享誉世界的思想家、教育家。“仁”作为孔子思想的核心,处处体现在孔子的教育实践中。孔子以培养“仁以为己任”的君子为目标,以“爱人”的方式对学生施教,并以身作则,和学生一同恪守“君子不违仁”的准则。孔子以“仁”为核心的教育思想,对当代中国的教育具有重要的意义,启发当代的教育者努力挖掘孔子教育思想中人性、师德等方面的优秀理念,并将其运用于当代教育实践之中。

Confucius is a world famous thinker and an educator.“Benevolence”is the core of Confucius’thought and is reflected in the educational practice of Confucius.Confucius aimed to train the gentleman who regarded“Benevolence”as his duty.He taught his students by the way of“loving people”,and adhered to the principle that“the gentleman does not violate the benevolence”.The Confucius’educational thought that centered on“benevolence”is of great significance to the education of contemporary China.It can inspire contemporary educators to work hard to find out the excellent ideas of humanity and teachers’morality and apply those ideas to their own educational practice.
