金秋十月,苹果飘香.中国苹果看烟台,烟台苹果看柄霞.作为烟台苹果核心产区的栖霞苹果,自上个世纪80年代以来,一直引领中国苹果产业的发展,先后获得中国苹果之都、中国水果第一市、中国优秀旅游城市、国家级生态示范区、世界苹果之城等荣誉称号.百年孕育,苹果栽培“技术更迭”据清光绪年间编纂的《栖霞县志·食货志》记载,栖霞自古代就有苹果栽培记录.柄霞近代苹果栽培历史起源于公元1871年,由美国长老会成员约翰·倪维思引入烟台,开创了中国苹果栽培的新纪元,成为“中国第一个苹果”.
