Investigation on the status of medical college students’ voluntary service in nursing homes

目的:了解在校医学生志愿服务于养老院的行为现状,分析存在的问题,并进一步促进和完善在校医学生志愿服务工作提供依据.方法:釆用两个自制调查问卷,分别对三所海南养老院的老人及海南某医学院校钓护理专业、临床专业和中医专业的学生进行调查。结果:调查发现医学生去养老院频率过少,对志愿服务活动认识不足以及志愿服务组织不完善等问题.结论:医学院校应加强对志愿服务的重视,加大对志愿服务的宣传力度以及提高对志愿服务组织的管理.

Objective To understand the status quo of voluntary service of medical students in nursing homes,analyze the existing problems,and further promote and improve the voluntary service of medical students in schools.Methods Two self made questionnaires were used to investigate the elderly in three nursing homes in Hainan and the students majoring in nursing,clinical and traditional Chinese medicine in a medical college in Hainan.Results The survey found that medical students went to nursing homes too often,lacked awareness of volunteer service activities,and the organization of volunteer service was imperfect.Conclusion Medical colleges and universities should pay more attention to volunteer service,strengthen the publicity of volunteer service and improve the management of volunteer service organizations.
