The Development and Enlightenment of Hong Kong’s Cultural and Creative Industries

全球创意和设计城市网络正在不断扩张.香港特区政府强调崭新的创意、优秀的设计、设计知识共享、文化交流和国际合作的重要性,实施多项政策和措施,成功推动香港置身国际设计界版图.深圳与香港两座城市只有一河之隔,互相联系密切.近两年,深圳的年度生产总值已经赶超香港.尽管如此,香港仍旧在许多方面保有优势.这里我们深入探讨了香港20年来所实施的文化创意产业政策并从不同方面回顾了该领域的现状.藉此提出政府应注重文化创意产业的发展,打造深圳质量.

Amidst, the expanding global network of creative and design cities, several of policies and programs from the government of HKSAR have helped to put Hong Kong on the world map of design which thrives on creativity,design excellence, design knowledge sharing, cultural exchanges and international partnerships. Shenzhen is adjacent to Hong Kong spatially and yet to catch up with Hong Kong in term of GDP. Although Hong Kong is at the risk of falling behind, it still has advantage over in many aspects. Here, we shall explore the industrial strategies for cultural and creative industries adopted in Hong Kong and review the current situation from different perspectives. We therefore propose that the government of Shenzhen urgently focus on the development of cultural and creative industries to flourish and achieve sustainable growth.
