新见义尊与义方彝

The Newly Discovered Yi Zun Vessel and Yi Fangyi Vessel

义尊与义方彝是山西省公安机关最近追缴回的两件重要文物。铭文记载西周武王赏赐给义贝,义为父乙铸造了这两件器物。其中铭文中丙族可能与灵石旌介晚商墓地的丙族之间有密切的关系。这两件器物对于研究商周之际殷遗民的迁徙、西周初年政治制度、西周历史与铜器断代有重要价值。

Yi Zun Vessel and Yi Fangyi Vessel are two important artifacts recovered by the public security bureaus of Shanxi Province.The inscriptions on them recorded that King Wu of Western Zhou granted shells to Yi and Yi had these two vessels made in memory of his father Yi.This paper suggests that the Bing clan appeared in the inscriptions might have been closely related to the Bing clan appeared in the late Shang Dynasty tomb at Jingjie of Lingshi.The discovery of these two artifacts is of great value to the study of immigrations of Shang people during the change between Shang and Zhou,political institutions and history of earlyWestern Zhou,and the dating of bronze vessels.
