摘要
在“走出去”战略背景下,高校为促进对外交流与合作,体现国际化办学理念,将英文版网站建设作为对外宣传,树立国际形象的重要窗口。然而由于对“走出去”战略背景理解不深入,加之中英文的语言差异和东西方文化的异同,使得翻译效果和翻译质量有待于进一步改善。该研究以郑州西亚斯学院的英文网站为例,分析英译中存在的问题,探索翻译策略,为网站英译提出切实可行的建议,提升学院形象并扩大国际知名度和影响力。
Under the background of going-global strategy,colleges and universities put emphasis on the establishment of the English version of website to promote international exchange and cooperation.However,due to the lack of deep understanding of going-global strategy,the differences in languages and cultures,the translation need to be further improved.Taking Sias university as an example,the thesis summarizes the translation strategies after analyzing the problems in order to enhance the development of the English version of the website which playing important roles in building an international image and expanding the influence.
