Financial Reform and Financial Opening in China

本文回顾了中国金融改革和金融开放的双重进程,对其阶段性成果进行评述。本文研究发现,中国的金融改革和金融开放是相辅相成、相互促进的。2015年股市异常波动使中国放慢了金融开放的步伐,更加关注金融改革。允许外资金融机构进入中国市场有助于引入国际先进经验,增强中国金融机构的竞争力。未来,随着金融市场进一步开放,中国可能还将面临是否准备采取更灵活的汇率政策配合资本账户开放、外资银行进入是否会增加中国金融机构信用风险等问题。

This paper reviews the dual process of China's financial reform and financial opening,and evaluates its phased achievements.It is found that China's financial reform and financial opening are mutually reinforcing and promoting.After the abnormal stock market volatility in 2015,China slowed down the pace of financial opening and paid more attention to financial reform.Allowing foreign financial institutions to enter the Chinese market will help introduce advanced international experience and enhance the competitiveness of Chinese financial institutions.In the future,as financial markets open further,China may also face questions such as whether it is prepared to adopt a more flexible exchange rate policy to match the capital account opening and whether the entry of foreign banks will increase the credit risk of Chinese financial institutions.
