Is China Reshaping Its Neighboring Environment through the Belt and Road Initiative?

自2013年底中国提出"一带一路"倡议以来,周边国家普遍积极响应,各类大型项目逐步规划、实施、落地,凸显出中国塑造周边环境的能力;另一方面,"一带一路"的提出和发展也加剧了中国周边的地缘政治竞争。随着"一带一路"的推进,地缘政治和地缘经济的效应将逐步浮现。中国需要把握并管控好消极面,积极有所作为。

Three years have passed since Chinese president Xi Jinping put forward the Belt and Road initiative in 2013,which were well received by most of countries along the route.It has made great progress in the past three years,showing China s capability to shape its neighboring environment.At the same time,the Belt and Road Initiative is also arousing geopolitical rivalry among great powers.The paper will try to analyze its impact on China s neighboring in a balanced way and suggests that China should be more careful about the effect of geopolitical rivalry.
