Voluntaristics has developed out of nonprofit and voluntary sector studies,now qualifies as a new,global,integrative academic discipline.Summarized research on the development and institutionalization of voluntaristics,this paper includes the topics of academic research fields since 1970s,the founding and worldwide establishment of relevant interdisciplinary journals.The powerful supporting facts for voluntaristics are more and more courses and certificate or degree programs in colleges and universities around the world.With the assistance of the integrative theory,voluntaristics will surely become the branch of the established current socio-behavioral science disciplines.
