America is a hegemonic sea power in the current world and the birthplace of sea power theory.The control of the ocean is the foundation upon which the United States seizes and maintains hegemony.After the Cold War,the U.S.Navy began a strategic transformation out of the need to maintain its hegemony.The aircraft carriers are the core of the U.S.Navy's combat series,which has great power,versatile function and strong capability of sea control.The aircraft carriers have played an important role in the strategic transformation of the U.S.Navy.They have also played a key role in the development of the US Navy's technology,the innovation of the tactics and the integration of the integrated joint operations,thus further enriching the American strategic thinking of sea power.
