Objective To explore the effect of WeChat Public account in the treatment of adverse reactions caused by bortezomib subcutaneous injection in multiple myeloma patients. Methods About 80 patients admitted to the hematology department with multiple myeloma treated with bortezomib from September 2017 to December 2018 were divided into treatment group and control group randomly. And intervened using WeChat Public account was used in the treatment group but not in the control group. The changes of local redness, induration, pain, neurotoxicity and other adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after subcutaneous injection of bortezomib. Results The patient's local redlness and induration in treatment group were lower than those in the control group. The rate of pain relief from to treatment group was higher than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of neurotoxicity of the two groups was not statistically significant in the difference(P=0.1203).Conclusion The application of WeChat public account in reducing adverse reactions induced by subcutaneous bortezomib injection in patients with multiple myeloma can reduce the incidence of local redness, induration, pain, neurotoxicity and other adverse reactions, and play a more effective role in treatment of multiple myeloma patients.
