Enlightenment of Gadamer’s Hermeneutics on Reading Comprehension

伽达默尔诠释学是解释文本理解的科学,是现代诠释学的代表性理论,对阅读理解具有强大的解释力,其文本理解观的核心思想主要包括三方面,即文本理解的开放性、历史性和语言性。研究结果表明,伽达默尔诠释理论对阅读理解有重要的启示:第一,阅读理解是一个读者主动构建意义的过程;第二,阅读理解产生于读者与作者、文本三者之间的视域融合;第三,阅读理解的重要意义在于读者的自我理解和自我塑造。伽达默尔诠释理论打开了阅读研究的新视野,利于推动科学阅读。

Gadamer's hermeneutics is a science that explains textual understanding,a representative theory of modern hermeneutics,and a powerful explanatory power for reading comprehension.The core ideas of its text comprehension theory mainly include three aspects,namely,the openness,historicality and linguistic nature of text interpretation.The research results show that Gadamer's interpretation theory has important enlightenment on reading comprehension which is hereby expounded:First,reading comprehension is a process in which readers actively construct meaning.Second,the highest level of reading comprehension is the fusion of horizons between reader and author and text.Third,the importance of reading comprehension lies in the reader's self-understanding and self-fashioning.Gadamer's hermeneutics opens up new horizons in reading research and is conducive to promoting scientific reading.
