摘要 新生研讨课是美国大学在继承“习明纳”教学与科研相结合、独创精神与学术自由相统一、注重协作的教学理念的基础上,结合其新生教育传统发展而来,面向大一学生的课程教学模式;其教学目的聚焦于新生的适应性转变和学术性转变,研讨主题由教师自由确定、学生自由选择参与,教学内容以学习技能、探究的视野和方法为主,教学方法以研讨、探究、讲演、辩论为主,学习考核注重过程参与而非结果,教学形式为小班教学,任课教师多由名师和专业工作者担任,体现了以“学”为重心,以探究为主线,重视学生参与的根本特征。在我国高等教育大众化纵深发展,大学生新生学习生活问题凸显,高中教育与大学教育相脱节的背景下,这种教学模式具有提高大学新生学习适应性,夯实新生基础学养,培育新生自主学习能力等独特教育价值,其推行能够有效提高本科教育质量。 Freshman Seminar is a kind of teaching mode directing at freshmen which is based on the combination of teaching and scientific research,unity of creative spirit and the academic freedom,team-oriented teaching concept.This paper analyzes the freshman seminar’s teaching objective,theme,teaching contents,teaching methods,and so on.A conclusion is drawn that freshman seminar can promote freshmen’s learning adaptability and help them lay a solid foundation,thus effectively improve the quality of undergraduate education.
