In pursuit of“America First,”the Trump administration has adopted a protectionist trade policy in an attempt to strengthen the competitive advantage of US companies,and has invoked domestic law to impose tariffs on trading partners,with the intent of forcing other countries to adjust their trade policies in a direction more favorable to the US.
