“Literature + Object”:A Perspective of Comparative Study on the Research Methods for Chinese Architectural Historiography and Ancient Chinese Historiography in Modern Times

"文献+实物"相互印证是近代中国建筑史学研究的重要方法,它通常被认为和中国古史研究中的"二重证据法"共享相同的方法论。本文通过比较"文献+实物"的方法和"二重证据法"的建立过程,试图说明:一方面,二者采用相似研究方法的背后,都受到现代意识中真实性考证的影响;另一方面,二者在研究目的的价值取向上存在差异,由此,从一个侧面反映出中国建筑史学在建立之初所蕴含的不同于近代一般史学的学科特征--面向现实生活和民族性建构。

The "Literature + Object"is an important method for Chinese Architectural Historiography in modern times. Generally, it is considered to share the same methodology with the "Dual-Evidence" in Ancient Chinese Historiogrophy. By comparing the establishment process of both, it can be found that both of them are influenced by the verifi cation of authenticity appertaining to the modern consciousness. They have differences in the value orientation of research purposes, reflecting the characteristics of Chinese Architectural Historiography from the Modern General Historiography-for the present and construction of Nationality.
