Statistical Analysis of the Enrollment Information of MLIS in 2018

[目的/意义]调查国内图书情报硕士专业学位(MLIS)最新招生信息情况,为考生提供有价值的考试信息,为招生单位开展招生宣传与教育培养工作提供参考依据,促进MLIS教育的发展。[方法/过程]通过对2018年全国30所MLIS招生单位的招生信息进行网络调查,从招生基本情况、招生单位地区分布、招生院校类型、培养院系类别、招生方向以及考试科目设置等六个方面进行统计分析,以此反映招生单位的MLIS招生信息服务质量。[结果/结论 ] 2018年MLIS招生单位有30所,计划招生人数953人,实际录取全日制1 086人、非全日制250人;招生院校覆盖全国17个省、3个直辖市,西北地区无招生院校;招生单位均为高等院校,其中综合性院校有20所、师范类5所、理工类2所、医药类、农林类和财经类各1所;MLIS招生二级学院分为三类:管理学类21所、信息学类6所、历史学类3所;招生方向设置前三位为:信息管理类(18.92%)、不区分研究方向(17.57%)、情报学类(16.22%);介绍初试、复试以及同等学力加试科目。从MLIS招生工作、招生规模与生源、考试科目、以及网站招生信息服务等四个方面,指出目前MLIS招生与教育中存在的问题,并提出工作建议。

[Purpose/significance] This paper aims at providing valuable information and reference for candidates and the unites recruit students by investigating the latest enrollment information of MLIS in China, which will help promoting the development of MLIS education.[Method/process] Through the network survey of the enrollment information of 30 MLIS enrollment units in China in 2018, the statistical analysis was conducted from six aspects, including the basic situation of enrollment, the distribution of enrollment units, the types of colleges and universities, the types of training schools, the direction of enrollment and the setting of examination subjects, so as to reflect the quality of MLIS enrollment information service of the enrollment units. [Result/conclusion] In 2018, there were 30 MLIS enrollment units, with the planned enrollment of 953 students, and the actual enrollment of 1 086 full-time and 250 part-time students.The enrollment of colleges and universities covers 17 provinces and 3 municipalities in China, and none in northwest China.The enrollment units are all colleges and universities, including 20 comprehensive universities, 5 normal universities, 2 science and technology universities, 1 medicine university, 1 agriculture and forestry university, and 1 finance and economics university. MLIS secondary schools are divided into three categories: 21 in management, 6 in informatics and 3 in history.The top three enrollment directions are: information management(18.92%), undifferentiated research(17.57%), and information science(16.22%). Subjects of preliminary examination, second examination and additional examination of equivalent academic ability in MLIS are being introduced.This paper points out the problems existing in MLIS enrollment and education such as MLIS enrollment work, enrollment scale and enrollment source, examination subjects, and website enrollment information service, and puts forward some suggestions.
