When Books Went To War: The Stories That Helped US Win World War II interprets World War II from a brand new perspective: books. The book narrated the background, grand occasion and efforts of the library circle of the American Book Dissemination Movement with little-known historical materials, and presented how the "military edition books" were produced in the United States and the picture of book reading under the background of war, revealing its special role in helping the reconstruction of the post-war cultural order in the United States. It provides us with a multi-dimensional perspective and historical thinking on the impact of books in that special period of time.
