意识是不解之谜吗?对此,学界有意识无解论和意识有解论这两种回答。通过考察意识无解论的五种论证,即意识无处理方法、意识无结构、意识本质难寻、意识有解释鸿沟和意识不能定义,发现均不能成立。再考察意识有解论的八种意识观,即反映意识观、经验意识观、表象意识观、意向性意识观、思维意识观、心理意识观、量子意识观和信息论意识观,发现也均难以成立。不过同时也发现,只要设法克服既有意识定义所存在的片面性,意识就可以是有解的。而笔者在2012年给出的意识定义,即意识是脑的信息性活动,就能达到这种要求,是可以令人信服的全面性意识定义。但它与前此说到的信息论意识定义不是一回事,可谓“信息意识观意识定义”。

Is consciousness a mystery?For this,there are two kinds of answers:the unsolvable theory of consciousness and the solvable theory of consciousness.By inspecting the five arguments of the unsolvable theory of consciousness:consciousness has no treatment,consciousness has no structure,consciousness is difficult to find,consciousness has an explanatory gap and consciousness can not be defined and investigating eight kinds of consciousness views of the solvable theory of consciousness:the concept of reflection consciousness,the concept of experience consciousness,the concept of representation consciousness,the concept of intentionality consciousness,the concept of thinking consciousness,the concept of psychological consciousness,the concept of quantum consciousness and the concept of information consciousness,I found these can not answer the question.But if we try to overcome the one-sidedness of the existing definition of consciousness,consciousness can be solvable.The definition of consciousness that I defined in 2012:consciousness is the informational activity of the brain,would meet that requirement and would be a convincing definition of overall consciousness.However,it is not the same as the previous definition of information consciousness,which is called"the definition of consciousness of the concept of information consciousness".
