Keitaro Tanaka and the Chinese Literature Research Society

以竹内好、武田泰淳等为中心结成的中国文学研究会是日本中国现代文学研究的开拓者,文求堂书店店主田中庆太郎作为该会的重要赞助者,不仅以出版同人译作、协助刊物出版等方式提供经济支持,以同步引进最新的中国文学、学术书刊,出版汉语辞典和教科书的方式提供译介资源和工具,更是在反对作为官学权威的汉学和批判"同文"观念上与文研会展开合作。他利用横跨中日,沟通文、学、政、商各界的人脉网络,将文求堂营造成中国学研究者的交流场域,协助文研会酝酿出以翻译对抗主流意识形态的文化空间。

The Chinese Literature Research Society founded by Yoshimi Takeuchi,Taijun Takeda and other graduates from Tokyo Imperial University is the pioneer of Japan’s modern Chinese literature research. Keitaro Tanaka,the owner of the Bunkyudo bookstore,is a very important patron of this society. He supported them by not only book and journal publishing,literature and academic resource providing,but also cooperating with them in opposing sinology as an official authority and criticizing the doubun theory. Tanaka used his social network to make Bunkyudo bookstore into a field where the Chinese researchers were able to communicate with each other freely. This field helped the Chinese Literature Research Society use translation against the mainstream ideology.
