Kashin-Beck disease(KBD)is an endemic disease that damages the bone and joint and causes a high disability rate, however its etiology and pathogenesis are still unclear.Multiple degenerative and necrotic lesions within the articular cartilage and growth plate cartilage usually occur in KBD patients, and NF-κB signal pathway can regulate gene transcription and participate in the process of cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.Whether NF-κB signal pathway plays an important role in the occurrence and development of KBD is worth further discussion. In this paper,we summarized the research status and development progress of NF-κB signal pathway in KBD to provide scientific basis for further exploration of the pathogenesis.
