对于马克思哲学的本质,西方马克思主义或是从历史唯物主义,或是从方法来解读,人本主义的西方马克思主义认为马克思哲学就是以人为本的历史唯物主义,他们通过人、历史、实践、总体性辩证法等核心范畴重新解读马克思哲学。
