The Trump Administration has sent significant negative impacts on multilateralism since he came into power,leading to intensified turbulence of the international situation,deteriorated global economic situation and growing diffi culty of global governance.Yet there are strong external and internal constraints on Trump s negative impact on multilateralism.In the international arena,devel oped countries in Europe firmly uphold multilateralism and fiercely struggle with Trump s unilateral policies;developing countries represented by China have also become a powerful force in safeguarding multilateralism;and cooperation between developing and developed countries has been strengthened around multi lateralism.In the United States,Trump s economic and foreign policies have been widely and forcefully criticized or even denied;the impeachment launched by the Democratic Party and the split within the Republican Party also restrict Trump s policies.
