On the Encoding and Decoding of Compound Words under the Morphology-Syntax Interface: a Case Study of Compound Words “Quan（劝）X”

基于对"劝X"类复合词的个案研究,本文主张词法-句法界面互动下的复合词研究路径和基于用法模型的方法论。"劝X"类复合词的编码与解码具有特定的认知语用动因。"劝X"的语义解码、编码与劝解事件框架相关,"劝"句法框架分布与"劝"事件框架编码具有对应关系。利他主义和文化模型影响"劝X"的语义识解,"劝X"的语义识解是自上而下与自下而上认知加工相结合的过程。最后分析了"劝X"的造词编码机制,复合词"劝X"有两种编码模式:"劝V"型和"劝N"型。

This paper advocates a research approach of compound words under the morphology-syntax interface and a methodology of the usage-based model based on a case study of compound words "quan(劝)X". The encoding and decoding of "quan(劝)" have specific cognitive and pragmatic motivations. Their semantic decoding and encoding are related to the advising event frames. The distribution of "quan(劝)" syntactic frames and the encoding of "quan(劝)" event frames have a corresponding relationship. The altruism and cultural models affect the semantic decoding of "quan(劝)X" and the semantic decoding process of "quan(劝)X" is composed of the top-down processing and the bottom-up processing. Lastly, the word encoding mechanism of "quan(劝)X" is analyzed and compound words "quan(劝)X" have two main encoding modes: "quan(劝)V" type and "quan(劝)N" type.
