摘要
《全球一流工程教育发展现状》是当前最新、较系统、有一定影响力的高等工程教育改革调研报告。该报告对世界一流工程教育的评价标准、面临的挑战及发展趋势进行描述和分析。报告指出,目前工程教育面临三大挑战:政府参与对工程教育目标与愿景的制约,无法为大规模、多样化的学生群体提供高质量教育,学科和部门的分离阻碍了工程教育的创新与发展。报告提出了未来高等工程教育的发展走向:地理重心从欧美转向亚洲和南美洲、课程设置以面向社会发展和工程需求为原则、大规模地进行高质量工程教育。为此,我国新工科建设应以系统性改革为工程教育改革的主要路径,以回归工程教育育人本质为首要目标,以体验式学习为工程教育的主要手段。
The global state of the art in engineering education is the latest,systematic and influential research report on the reform of higher engineering education.This report describes and analyzes the evaluation standards,challenges and development trends of the world class engineering education,and points out the three major challenges faced in the engineering education at present:constraining of the objectives and vision for the government participation in the engineering education,failure to provide quality education to a large and diverse student body,and the separation of disciplines and departments that hinders the innovation and development of engineering education.Therefore,the report puts forward the development trend of higher engineering education in the future:the geographical focus shifts from Europe and America to Asia and South America,the curriculum is set to face the social development and engineering needs,and high-quality engineering education is carried out on a large scale.As a result,China's“new engineering”construction should take the systematic reform as the main path of engineering education reform and the returning to the essence of engineering education as the primary goal,and experiential learning as the main means of engineering education.
