Researches on the Translation Methods of Public Signs in Henan Tourist Attractions

河南旅游景区标识语的英译存在诸多问题,严重阻碍了河南旅游业的发展。本文提出了一些具体的翻译方法:直译、意译、音译与意译结合法、增译法、减译法、变译法以及省略不译,以提高其翻译质量。

There are a lot of problems in the translation of public signs in Henan tourist attractions, which seriously impede the development of tourism of Henan. The author puts forward several translation methods: literal translation, free translation, combination of transliteration and free translation, amplification, omission, variation translation and no translation, in order to enhance the quality of the translation of public signs in tourist attractions in Henan province.
