“Snake”: beautiful loneliness and deep desire

冯至的《蛇》是一首在中国新诗史上知名度很高的爱情诗,学界对此的评价多集中在该诗采用“蛇”这一奇特的意象来表现爱情中的寂寞。但该诗不能被简单认为是一首描写爱情苦闷的抒情诗。冯至的《蛇》是受西方文艺思潮影响,吸取东西方文艺思想而创作的实验诗,与其说抒发的是爱情中的寂寞和苦闷,不如说表现的是一个时代的苦闷和人类所共有的欲望,及欲求得不到满足时的无可奈何。《蛇》在文学和审美上的价值,当在爱情诗之上。

Feng Zhi's“snake”is a well-known love poem in the history of Chinese new poetry.The evaluation of this poem focuses on the use of the strange image of“snake”to express the loneliness of love.But the poem cannot be only regarded as a lyric poem about the bitterness of love.Feng Zhi's“snake”is an experimental poem inspired by western literary thoughts,which draws on the eastern and western literary ideas.Instead of expressing the loneliness and anguish of love,it is more a reflection of the bitterness of the times and the common desire of mankind,and the helplessness when the desire is not satisfied.The value of“snake”in literature and aesthetics exceeds in lyric poetry.
