Some substations in China are located in mountain forest areas. It is precisely because they are set up in mountain forest areas with less human flow.Nowadays, most of them use unattended substations. As a result, some substations have become the habitats of some animals.Generally, there are more rodents and birds. In this case, their habitation may affect the substation.Normal operation of the station,or even serious, will destroy some of the basic equipment of the substation. This paper mainly focuses on the causes and measures of substation faults,in order to reduce the frequency of short-circuit phenomenon and prevent animals from being damaged again.
