Comparative Analysis and Promotion Strategies of Urban Competitiveness in Henan Province

城市竞争力的提升对区域发展至关重要。河南省城市在经济发展方面总体表现尚可,但可持续竞争力、宜商竞争力和宜居竞争力均处于弱势,特别是在生态环境、社会治理、基础设施等方面的短板比较突出。提升河南省城市竞争力需要从服务型政府建设、科技创新、对外开放、资源节约与环境保护、城市规划建设管理优化、大中小城市网络化建设等方面着手,相互配合,系统推进。

The improvement of urban competitiveness is crucial to regional development. The overall performance of Henan’s urban competitiveness in terms of economic development status is acceptable, but sustainable competitiveness, business competitiveness and livable competitiveness are all in weak positions. Especially, there is obvious weakness in the terms of ecological environment, social governance and infrastructure. To enhance the competitiveness of Henan’s cities, there are some necessary measures that ought to be taken, including construction of serviceoriented government, technological innovation, opening up, resource conservation and environmental protection, optimization of urban planning, construction and management, and network construction of large, medium and small cities, with mutual coordination and systematic advance.
