Chen Xuexun:A Famous Teacher of Zhejiang Style

我的导师陈学恂先生庄重而又温润如玉。先生的宝贝是一本本泛黄的讲稿,是耗时几十年的心血之作,是日积月累的信手拈来之作,是对后辈的警醒之作。先生讲究读万卷书行万里路,为我们拜师访友提供诸多便利,为我们参加学术会议提供诸多支持。先生鼓励学生选择勤奋刻苦的学术研究道路,做教育史研究的开拓者,于不知不觉中开创了中国近代教育史研究的新领域、新方向、新潮流。

My mentor,Mr.Chen Xuexun,is solemn and gentle.Mr.Chen’s favorites are his yellowed manuscripts,which took him decades of painstaking efforts.These are the lifelong achievements and can be said as a wake-up call for the younger generation.He advocates that reading great books and doing great travels are the top ideals for people,and provides us with many conveniences for visiting teachers and friends and participating in academic conferences.He encouraged students to choose the path of hardworking academic research and to be the pioneer of educational history study,and unwittingly created a new field,new direction and new trend in the study of modern Chinese educational history.
