My Memories of Following Professor Chen Xuexun

1978—1991年,我有幸追随陈学恂教授学习中国教育史。在十多年的接触过程中,陈先生作风正派、提携后学、诲人不倦、以学科发展大局为重的高尚品德和思想境界给我留下了深刻的印象,是我终生学习的榜样。陈先生在教育史教学和研究工作中强调基础训练、重视基本史料的学风至今影响和形塑着浙江大学教育史学科的发展,是先生留给我们的一份宝贵的精神财富。

From 1978 to 1991,I had the privilege of following Professor Chen Xuexun to study the Chinese educational history.During the contact of more than ten years,Mr.Chen has left me a deep impression on his noble character and ideological realm of being upright in daily behavior,giving guidance and help to younger scholars,being tireless in teaching,and setting store by the overall development of the discipline.He became a role model for my life.In the teaching and studying of educational history,Mr.Chen emphasized basic training and attached importance to basic historical materials.This academic style has been influencing and shaping the development of the discipline of educational history in Zhejiang University.It is a valuable spiritual wealth that he left us.
