由雲龙,云南姚安人,是云南现当代一位有影响的重要人物。除了政治上的考量外,由雲龙在经学、史学、金石学、诗学等领域都有建树。诗学尤其精到,著有《定庵诗话》《定庵诗存》等书。《定庵诗话》是民国十大诗话之一,对中国古代诗歌理论、云南诗坛诗风流变、云南诗人风格及对外交流均作了扼要的叙述,对云南诗坛融入中华诗坛作了分析与诠释,是一部研究民国云南诗歌的不可或缺的书籍。

You Yunlong,a native of Yan’an County,Yunnan Province,was an important modern figure of Yunnan.Besides his political activities,he achieved greatly in study of Confucian classics,history,epigraphy and poetics in particular.His works include Ding An Shi Hua and Ding An Shi Cun,the former of which,acclaimed as one of the top ten works on poetics during the period of the Republic of China(1912―1949),is devoted to classical Chinese poetics theories,poetic styles and evolution of Yunnan’s poetry,styles of Yunnan’s poets,exchanges between Yunnan’s poetry and that of the rest of China as well as integration of Yunnan’s poetry into that of the greater China.It is a great book indispensable to studies of Yunnan’s poetry of the period of the Republic of China.
