The Industrial Utopian Universe of Soviet Architect Leonidov

苏联构成主义建筑师列奥尼多夫生逢大工业时代,凭着对技术的敏感与对工业的热情,在其作品中自觉实践着自己的工业化理想。他不仅从城市尺度到室内装修系统地使用标准化、模块化技术进行设计,还善于利用工业时代的新媒体,勇于展开技术畅想,甚至会直接在图纸中增加工业符号来表现对新技术的热爱。列奥尼多夫并不甘愿被现实所束缚,他头脑中的建筑工业化更为广义。但实际上,他并没有真正参与后来轰轰烈烈并影响到中国的苏联建筑工业化,也没有哪个建筑作品获得实施。列奥尼多夫只是建造了他自己的工业乌托邦。

Born in the era of great industry,Soviet constructivism architect Leonidov consciously practiced his ideal of industrialisation in his projects,with his technical sensitivity and his enthusiasms for the industry.Besides systematically applying standardisation and modular design technology from urban scale to interior,he was also adept in taking advantage of the new media of the industrial era and bold in expanding his technology Leonidov was not willing to be bound by the reality.The prospect of building industrialization in his mind is much broader than others’.In fact,he did not really participate in the vigorous building industrialisation of the Soviet Union which influenced China remarkably.Even no architectural work of Leonidov had been put into practice.He had just built his own industrial Utopia.
