Abstract of The History of Fujian, The Record of Fujian and Fujian Annals in Ming Dynasty

明代,福建编修了三部省志,其中成书于明代前期的黄仲昭《八闽通志》与晚明时代的何乔远《闽书》属于官修,而成书于明代中期的王应山《闽大记》则属于私修志书。这些志书各有特色,为我们深入了解明代福建地情、文化、民俗、人物等提供了丰富、翔实的史料。为此,我们编发了由陈叔侗、曾永志撰写的三部志书提要,以方便读者一窥三部旧志的概貌。

In the Ming Dynasty, Fujian compiled and revised three provincial chronicles, of which Huang Zhongzhao’s The History of Fujian in the early Ming Dynasty and he Qiaoyuan’s Fujian Annals in the late Ming Dynasty belong to the official practice, while Wang Yingshan’s The Record of Fujian in the middle of the Ming Dynasty belongs to the private practice. These annals have their own characteristics, for us to deeply understand the Ming Dynasty Fujian land situation, culture, folklore, characters and so on to provide rich, informative historical materials. For this purpose, we compiled and distributed by Chen Shudong, Zeng Yongzhi three annals of the summary, in order to facilitate the reader a glimpse of the three old chronicles.
