乡镇志是记载一乡一镇区域范围内自然和社会诸方面的历史和现状的综合性著述,是地方志诸多种类中的一种。编修乡镇志对守护乡村历史,传承乡村文明,建言资政,服务现实,教化育人,联络乡情,促进乡村文化建设具有重要意义。编纂乡镇志要创新工作方法,通过政策激励,广采博取,通力合作,精心指导,强化标准,大力推进乡镇志的编修,发挥方志文化在乡村振兴中应有的地位和作用。

Township chronicles are comprehensive works documenting the history and present situation of nature and society in the area of one township or one town, and they are one of many kinds of local chronicles. Compiling and revising township records is of great significance to protect rural history, inherit rural civilization, advise senior government, serve reality, educate people, connect with rural conditions and promote the construction of rural culture. The compilation of township aspirations should innovate working methods, through policy incentives, extensive collection, cooperation, careful guidance,strengthen standards, vigorously promote the compilation and revision of township records,and give full play to the position and role of local chronicles culture in rural revitalization.
