Under the intricate background of the current world economic situation, what’s the direction of the future of the global economy? Mr. Fan Gang, a well-known economist, pointed out at the World Shipping Summit 2019 that the basic trend of the world economy this year is a general slowdown with weak expansion but no recession. The economy will generally improve in 2020. The world economy may not grow by 2.7% in 20, but by 2.6% or even 2.5%. Although the current forecast shows that 2020 will be better, the uncertainty is very large, largely related to the trend of China’s economy. Whether China’s economy will be better in 2020 than in 2019 depends on whether the government will introduce a series of pro-growth policies, such as macro policies and structural policies in some areas.
