摘要
本研究以国内某医学院校临床医学专业一年级学生为研究对象,设计了一项为期16周的教学实验,以探讨CBI(Content-Based Instruction)主题教学模式是否有利于促进医学英语教学。对研究数据的量化和质性分析结果显示,CBI主题教学模式有利于提高学生的医学英语水平。教学实验后的深度访谈表明,虽然学生普遍认为该模式效果好,但教师的专业水平和教学能力是否满足教学需求,教材是否难易得当,学生是否掌握了一定的医学词汇,学生是否课前预习和课后复习都是影响CBI教学的关键因素。
This study designed a 16-week teaching experiment with first-year students majored in clinical medicine to explore whether Theme-Based Approach of CBI(Content-Based Instruction)is conducive to promoting medical English teaching.The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the research data shows that the Theme-Based Approach of CBI is conducive to improving students’medical English level.The in-depth interview after the teaching experiment shows that although students generally believe that this approach is effective,whether the teachers'professional level and teaching ability meet the teaching needs,whether the textbook is appropriate to the students'level,whether the students have mastered certain medical vocabulary,and whether the students have prepared before class and reviewed after class are all factors affecting the CBI teaching.
