赫哲语的时段成分包括时段词和时段结构,可以分为确量时段和约量时段两种类型。赫哲语的时段成分具有丰富的语法意义,不仅可以表示完整的时间长度、生物生长的时长,而且还可以表示事件发生的时间范围、动作行为持续的时间、动作发生的频率、状态持续的时间,以及动作结束后状态持续或经历的时间。赫哲语的时段成分最主要的功能是充当句子的时间状语和补语,其次是充当句子的主语、定语,但不在句中充当谓语和宾语。
