摘要
高等工程教育与产业发展相辅相成,工程教育为行业发展和产业升级提供有力人才保障。我国正处于由工业大国迈向工业强国的关键时期,为应对未来新技术和新产业国际竞争,"新工科"应运而生。文章回顾了"新工科"产生的历史背景,分析了"新工科"建设的本质和内涵,阐释了"新工科"人才培养面临的挑战。"新工科"人才培养要走中国特色的工科道路,紧密围绕国家产业和科技发展重大战略,积极探索引领未来经济社会发展的高层次工程人才培养模式和方法。
Higher engineering education and industrial development complement each other.Engineering education provides a talent pool for guaranteeing engineering development and industrial upgrade.China is undergoing a critical moment as its industry is being transformed into a strong one.And the Emerging Engineering disciplines are being built to meet the new technological and industrial challenges due to international competition.The paper reviews the historical background of the Emerging Engineering disciplines,analyzes the essence of the disciplinary development and discusses the challenges for cultivating talent in these areas.It argues that the Emerging Engineering talent cultivation must be oriented towards China’s national talent demand in the major strategic,industrial,scientific and technological development,and explore models and methods which can cultivate talent who may lead the future social development.
