Analysis and Reflection of Library Programs and New Americans: A White Paper by American Library Association

2019年7月,美国图书馆协会对外发布《图书馆计划和新美国人白皮书》。该白皮书提出以社团为中心的服务理念,并展示最佳实践办法,推动公共图书馆满足当地社区的移民、难民和流离失所者的需求等领域方面的工作。文章通过对白皮书所述的理念和实践举措进行梳理、解读,对该领域图书馆的服务方式、内容进行思考和展望,以期对目前我国公共图书馆的转型发展有所借鉴。

In July 2019,the American Library Association released Library Programs and New Americans:A White Paper.The White Paper puts forward the concept of community-centered service and demonstrates best practices to promote public libraries in meeting the needs of migrants,refugees and displaced persons in local communities.This paper combs and interprets the concepts and practical measures described in the white paper and analyzes the service modes and contents of libraries so as to explore a way to facilitate the transformation of public libraries in China.
