Theme Change and Experience of Publicity Work in New China in the Past Seventy Years

新中国七十年来,随着社会形势的发展、主要矛盾的变化和中心工作的转移,党的舆论宣传工作的主题经历了几次重大转换:1949-1956年的主题是达成社会主义道路共识,1956-1966年的主题是激发社会主义建设热情,1966-1978年的主题是发动"文化大革命",1978-2012年的主题是树立中国特色社会主义共同理想,2012年以来的主题是实现新时代民族复兴使命;新中国七十年舆论宣传工作的主要经验是坚持舆论先行、坚持与时俱进、坚持党性原则、坚持艺术传播;主要启示是正确的政治路线是舆论宣传工作的方向保证、必须摆正舆论宣传工作的地位、对外传播切忌强加于人等。中国特色社会主义进入新时代,我们必须深入学习和研究习近平总书记关于新时代舆论宣传工作的重要表述,切实提高舆论宣传工作的时代化、科学化、专业化水平。

In the past 70 years, with the development of social situation, the change of main contradictions and the central work in New China,the theme of the Party’s publicity work has undergone several major transformations. From 1949 to 1956, the theme was to reach consensus on the socialist path. The theme between 1956 and 1966 was to stimulate enthusiasm for socialist construction. Between 1966-1978,the theme was to incite the "Cultural Revolution". The theme from 1978 to 2012 was to establish the common ideal of achieving socialism with Chinese characteristics. Since 2012 the theme has been to realize the mission of national rejuvenation in the new era. The main experience in the past 70 years of public opinion and publicity work is to put public opinion first, keep pace with the times,uphold the principle of Party spirit,and follow an artistic approach. It’s important to know that a correct political route is the guarantee of taking the right direction,and communication shall not be imposed on anyone. As socialism with Chinese characteristics enters the new era, we must study in depth General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important statements on publicity in the new era,do the publicity work in a more up-to-date, scientific and professional manner.
