依据国民政府内政部在1939年至1940年的《河南省各县回教寺院及回教徒概况调查表》,文章对抗战初期河南省回族人口问题(包括总人口、性别比、每户人口、受教育情况、人口流动),职业与经济收入问题(包括职业分布、经济状况、家庭收入)等给予分析研究。

This paper is a research based on“The Investigation Charts on the Mosques and Muslim Conditions in Henan”by the Internal Affairs Ministry,China,in 1940,which is archived in Taipei-based Academia Historica.It discusses about the issues concerning Hui population,professions and incomes in the early period of the Anti-Japanese War.The population elaborated with the exploration of the total population,sex ration,household numbers,and educational levels;the the professions and incomes are elaborated with the discussions about their occupational distribution,economic position,and family incomes.Some conclusions are reached with the writer’s endeavor on the analysis of original texts and relevant contemporary source literature.Since the publication related to this study field remains rare,the writer tries to fill in such a blank;and to some extent,he has achieved this aim.
