高职公共英语与酒店管理专业英语衔接的问题及对策

The Problems and Countermeasures of the Connection between Public English and Professional English for Hotel Management in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职公共英语与酒店管理专业英语衔接具有重要意义,不仅能丰富高职英语课程教学内容,还有利于提升教学效果和学生的知识应用技能。但目前二者衔接存在不足,主要体现在教材内容、教学目标、教学过程等方面。为改进这些不足,有必要了解学生英语基础水平,开发酒店管理专业英语教材;正确定位教学目标,在公共英语教学中渗透酒店管理专业英语;创新教学方法,在教学过程注重公共英语与酒店管理专业英语的衔接。

The connection between public English and hotel management English is of great significance. It not only enriches the teaching content of vocational English courses, but also helps to improve teaching effects and students’ knowledge application skills. However, there are currently insufficient links between the two, mainly in the content of teaching materials, teaching objectives, teaching process and so on. In order to improve these deficiencies, it is necessary to understand the basic level of English for students, develop professional English textbooks for hotel management;correctly position teaching objectives, infiltrate professional English for hotel management in public English teaching;and innovate teaching methods, focusing on the connection between public English and hotel management English in the teaching process.
