论《老残游记》中“侠士”的济世情怀与觉醒

《老残游记》是一部关注晚清社会与民生的谴责小说。作者通过游记的叙述方式复现了全书线索人物老残身上的侠士精神,并通过揭露清官暴政表达老残倾向于“出世”的人生选择。但“出世”不等同于避世,作者通过全书首尾的两则寓言展现晚清社会现状,并充分肯定了老残心系家国天下的济世情怀与觉醒意识,为晚清社会变革注入一剂思想良药。

Mr.Decadent is a novel which exposes the society and people’s livelihood in the late Qing Dynasty.Through the narrative way of travels,the author demonstrates the chivalrous spirit of Mr.Decadent and displays the life choice of Mr.Decadent to withdraw from the world through exposing the tyranny of the officials.However,his withdrawal is not equal to escape.The writer unfolds the social picture of the late Qing Dynasty through the two fables at the beginning and the end of the book and positively recognizes Mr.Decadent’s sense of social responsibility and the beginning of his consciousness of wakening.
